My Xanga, my Xanga is back, oh my Xanga. *happy happy sigh*
Between me being out and Xanga being down, I was suffering major withdrawal. I hope it lives up to its promises.

My dear, sweet, darling little Andrew and I got to sit in the car for almost 15 minutes this morning. He started crying in church for no good reason. It started in the nursery, so they paged me (cute little pagers, great idea I think.) and I went to get him. He wanted down from my lap so he could run around like a little heathen, and I wouldn't let him, so he started screaming. We went back to the nursery, because I thought he'd calm down and stay there ... oh, no, no such luck. When he wouldn't calm down in there, either, I dragged him out to the car and locked him in. I had to separate him from me before I drop-kicked him across the lot. I got in the driver seat and turned on the radio loud enough to drown him out. I thought that after about 5 minutes of that, he'd decide I wasn't listening, anyway. I'm ashamed to say I screamed at him for a little while when I turned the radio back off. He looked pretty frightened for a few seconds of it. He also kept hiding his bottom from me (remember, daddy and his gf beat the shit out of him if he upsets them.) He never sat down during this whole fiasco. I don't know why. If I were him, I'd have gone to the back of the van, away from the crazy screaming lady. Finally, I told him what I expected of him: to sit still and be quiet during church so we could hear Grandma sing. I asked if he was ready to do this, and he said he was. Well, apparently -I- wasn't. I suddenly started crying and sobbed for at least another 5 minutes. According to we were gone about 15 minutes. Lemmetellya though, he sat right on my lap for most of the rest of the service. He finally scooted over to the next seat, laid his head in my lap, and crashed. I think all that crying wore us both out, because I started nodding off, too. After church, it was Nate's turn to be the brat. He and I went into the corner of the nursery together (nobody there this time) and talked about how we were to behave. I told him that Andrew and I had already had a great big screaming and crying session, so I wasn't even going to go into that with him, I would merely take him home and stuff him into bed and lock the door for the rest of the day. He nodded and shut his mouth very quickly. We went to lunch with Mom and her husband. We had to wait a while for a table, and Nate was hopping around in the waiting area, running over the other people. He ended up having to sit down next to . Andrew was still quite quietly staying with me. With lunch, I had about 3 Dr. Peppers. I think the sugar and caffeine helped a LOT. (I don't let myself have much caffeine, and try to limit sugar too.)
When we got home, with only Andrew, we tossed him into bed to finish his nap and drank a pot of tea. I got some good housework done, and when Andrew got up, he even helped. Of course, Andrew helping involves him taking toys and throwing them in the general direction of his room. Eh. It's something.
