*snicker* vickyvix did a mass readup on me today (prolly yesterday by the time this posts.) feels vindicated by her liking Final Countdown. She also mentions she can't keep track of my cast of characters. *laugh* I guess that's partially my fault for calling everyone letters instead of names. Would you like a map instead, vix? See:
At work there's R(27 and friend from school years) and A(21 and naive enough to be 15 sometimes) who work where we can all talk while "working" (we try very hard not to, you know.) and then there's Mr. and Mrs. Boss (early 40's) who are usually in the mix down there, with Mr. Boss being rather unpredictably in and out. Then on the other floor of the building, there are 4 women (ranging from 28-50) and 4 men/boys (ranging from 17-45) I sometimes mention. My favorite of them being the high school boy. He's so funny and adorably adolescent. Reminds me why I'm glad I'm way past puberty! We're about to hire 2 new girls to do R and my jobs (I'm going part-time, plus we're going to be getting more work with a new contract, woohoo.) They'll be another A (mid-20's) and an H (19ish?). New A will need a nickname and quicklike. The existing A is horrified (but I may have mentioned she's easily horrified) that there'll be a new A whose name she sometimes gets called anyway!! You know, one of those "oh, I know it's one of those A-names, let's just try this one."
In the Daddy saga, there's of course Daddy (25), whose name really ought to be changed, and I bet I've called him idiotboy, ex-husband, and a few other names over the life of my blog... There's GF(early 20's), Daddy's girlfriend, and her brother with the weirdass name(12). There's Aunt D(30?), who is, in R's words, a real bitch. But she's definitely the bitch to have on your side when you're going through shit like this. Anyway, it's the "woman who speaks her mind" type of bitch, not the "let's get someone in trouble for the fun of it" type of bitch. Their mother Grammy, their father, who rarely gets mentioned because I think he's said a dozen words in the time I've known him: "Not to be gross, but ** really does have a nice ass." This would be justifying his son fucking around on me with his best friend's wife. Humm. Aunt D has a husband and 2 daughters, one of whom is 10 months younger than Andrew and is madly in love with him. This is OK though, because he's madly in love with her, too. The other one is 10, and such a beautiful child. I feel a little guilty at not being around to know her as well as I used to.
In my other son's life there's Grandma(55) (the one most mentioned, probably), and his father(27), who often gets the title Jerk or Asshole, but was at least considerate enough to put the entire state of Kansas and a bit of Colorado between us so he's not always around bugging me.
In my life otherwise, there're pitifully few people left. There's T(26? god I'm embarrased, I'm not SURE!) who signed my marriage certificate and then asked me to be in her wedding. She's pregnant and exhausted right now. *grin* I remember those days, really I do. We've been friends since grade school, and used to have sleepovers and stuff like that. I still remember making prank phone calls from her house and trying to hypnotize each other. There's D(27) and her husband H(27ish), who was trying pretty hard to seduce me for a long time there. There're my white trash neighbors, very generous people, but come on, clean and mow your yard at least once a year, PLEASE? Their middle child is in the same class as my big kid.
Oh, and of course, I have my mother and stepfather, my father and stepmother, my brother(30) and his girlfriend (early 20's), my darling boys (Nate, Nathaniel, BigBoy 5) (Andrew, Drew, Doodlebug 4), my psychotic husband, (32), and his parents, Oma and Opa.
Heehee. I betcha I confused you more with the cast of characters than I helped you. I tell ya, it's this green drink.
