| | We keep talking about me going part-time or quitting altogether. Sometimes it sounds like the best idea in the world, but then I remember that I am an inherently lazy person. I wonder if I would get much more done on the house than I do now. (Yes, I would, but not consistently.) I wonder if I would sleep in whenever possible (probably!) I wonder if I would get in any better shape or cook better meals for my family (doubt it on the shape, maybe on the cooking.)
Nate's dad is in town, so I haven't seen him since Sunday evening. Tonight, he called to tell me Nate fell off his bike and "looks like hell" I think were his words. Nate called back while I was putting Andrew to bed and left a message, "I'm OK. Goodnight." I could hear grandma prompting him in the background. He didn't even cry much, just ate some asphalt and then got right up. Hm. Must have wanted to look macho for his dad!
Andrew has been a pill for the past few days. Yesterday morning, he crawled into bed with me and put his little hand on my face, looked deep into my eyes and said, "Mommy, you're beauuutiful." "Awwww, thank you, sweetie!" He then burrowed his head between my arm/face/chest (I was half on my stomach) and went BPTHBDBTHTHTHB "I licked you! With my Tongue! Ewwww!" Talk about ruining a very sweet thing he just said! Little goober. Tonight we watched Prancer Returns. It's a movie about a boy finding a reindeer he believes is part of Santa's team and trying to help it until Christmas. At one point the adults keep talking about the animal shelter. Andrew turned to me and said, "They're going to take the deer to an aminal shelf. Put him on a shelf." *giggle* "Oh, really? Wow." What else could I say? Today's word for the day was POOP. We went shopping and he said the store smelled like poop. He was very cheerful about it, too. He told the woman in the service desk, "I poop!" I'm sure she was impressed. He is such a turkey. His hair is cute, though. It has a little more body now that it's not so long. I can't keep my hands off of it. It's fun to just ruffle and ruffle him! He finally has to say "awww, stop it!" Think I'll keep him. |
