Graduation Eve
Looking back at my time here, I have learned so much--and not just about Dickens, Milton, Shakespeare and Locke. Rather, primarily not them.

o A place where you learn the meaning of hard work
o The meaning of pain
o The meaning of friendship
o The meaning of seeking God with all you are
o A place where you learn true joy
o Real love
o A place where you learn to deal with people
o To disagree
o To respect authority
o To persevere
o To trust
o To forgive
o To dance in the rain
o A place where you discover the late watches of the night, and the wee hours of the morning.
o A place where you learn that self-sufficiency is a myth, and that is a good thing
o Where you learn how to dance (both kinds
)o To lean on God’s grace
o Where self-sufficient people learn to lean on others
o Where you learn to let go of things, and hold tight to God
o You learn that God is for you
o You learn to form opinions well, and to give up opinions well
o Where you learn to fight and make it up again.
o Where you have to say goodbye
o Where you learn to plot,
o and to dare

And it just strikes me that there is nothing that is lectured in class on this list... Because the most powerful part of being a part of PHC is that we learn to lean on God, and love His people.
