Huckabee Seeks to be Conservative Alternative
Former two-term Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee announced Sunday that he will be taking the necessary steps to run for President. Huckabee actually hails from the same hometown as former President of the United States, Bill Clinton: Hope, AR. The conservative alternative field was already crowded before the former Governor's announcement. Huckabee, a former Southern Baptist minister, will be competing for the conservative vote against Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS), Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO), and Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), among others. Huckabee is, perhaps, best known for his personal weight loss as Governor. In 2003 he lost over 110 pounds. To watch his announcement on Meet the Press click here.
