Ryun Running
It's official. Five-term Congressman Jim Ryun (R-KS) is running again. In 2006, Ryun, a former Olympic runner, lost his bid for a sixth term against freshman Nancy Boyda (D-KS) 51-47%. Ryun attributed his loss to a bad year for Republicans. Republican state treasurer, Lynn Jenkins, is also rumored to be running for the seat. The second district of Kansas has traditionally been a fairly conservative district with President Bush winning 59% of the vote in 2004. Posted by D. Price
