Bush Administration Accused of Hot Air
Global warming advocates yesterday accused the Bush administration of forcing scientists to downplay the reality and effects of global warming and global climate change at a Democratic initiative
before Congress. The administration was not called upon to respond, although the GOP brought in their own speakers in defense of skepticism. Presidential hopefuls Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL), and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) all expressed concern about global warming and urged government involvement in the solution. Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK), the former chairman of the Evironment and Public Works Committee said he found "no convincing evidence" of human effect on global climate change and later said, "We all know the Weather Channel would like to have people afraid all the time."Posted by D. One question... The globe exited the ice age through global warming, right? How did that happen without cars?
P.S. Cars made over $200mill. Al Gore, did your accurate cinematic wonder about this planets impending destruction even rake in $100mill?
A lot of scientists will tell you that Global Warming has been happening since the 16 hundreds. The only thing is, the planet heats up, and then cools back down every now and then. If this is the case, then the reason it was 55 here in Ohio last week means that we are just in another one of those warm spells. It also explain why it is only 10 degrees in Ohio today.....
I believe the title of one of my facebook groups fits best here: "Global Warming?? BAH!"
Mr. Biden is equally skeptical—albeit in a slightly more backhanded way—about Mr. Obama. “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” he said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”
