Giuliani: Abortion Issue Not Going as Planned
I mentioned that Rudy Giuliani had a tough time answering abortion questions in last week's GOP debate. Here's a sampling of his response:
The question that everyone is asking now is does Giuliani really "hate" abortion as much as he has been saying? The answer may be found in a Politico article released yesterday. According to the article, the former NYC Mayor gave to Planned Parenthood a total of six times in the 1990s. Planned Parenthood is one of the leading organizations promoting abortion rights and providers of the procedure. In total, he gave $900. According to one website, a first trimester abortion can cost anywhere from $350 to $600.
The Mayor may have some explaining to do.
