  • Like Edwards, Romney Feels Pretty

Mitt Most people would probably think that FEC filing reports are full of boring details about income and expenditures of candidates.  Those people would be right.  Every once in awhile, an interesting expenditure or two is picked up upon.  On the heels of the story that John Edwards paid nearly $300 for a haircut in Dubuque, IA, in April comes the story of Mitt Romney paying a similar amount for "communications consulting."  Translation?  The Romney campaign forked over $150 for two make-up sessions.  One of which was before the debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

Said Stacey Andrews who did the work on Romney, "It's not wise for candidates -- or anyone appearing on TV, for that matter -- to scrimp on makeup, especially in this age of high-definition TV."
