    JohnWarner2 There were three major headlines this weekend:

    Sen. Craig Resigns Over Scandal (Synopsis: Larry Craig (R-ID) resigned over the weekend after facing pressure from politicians on both sides.  Republican Governor Butch Otter will appoint a replacement in the coming weeks)

    Warner to Retire (Synopsis: John Warner (R-VA) will retire at the end of 2008.  The open VA seat is expected to be one of the most competitive)

    Iraq Showdown Looms (Synopsis: As Congress comes back into session, a showdown over the Iraq war looms.  Decisions made in the next few months could largely shape the 2008 election)

    That just means conservatives in Virginia will hjust have to find themselves a true conservative who can win the state, and then campaign like nuts to get him/her elected.
