  • Allen Joins Thompson, SEIU Fails to Endorse

Just a couple interesting headlines today, aside from today's GOP debate that will be streamed live on MSNBC.com at 4 PM ET and rebroadcast on TV at 9 PM ET.

Fred Thompson Announces Notable Co-Chairs. (Synopsis: Fred Thompson announced that Sens. Howard Baker, Spencer Abraham, George Allen, and Elizabeth Cheney, daughter of Vice President Dick Cheney will serve as national co-chairs for his campaign).

SEIU S.E.I.U. Makes It Official: No Endorsement.  (Synopsis: The Service Employees International Union (S.E.I.U.), one of the most politically active unions in the nation, announced that it would not endorse any candidate for the 2008 election.  John Edwards was largely considered the front runner, but the other campaigns were able to convice SEIU's leadership not to endorse anyone.  Instead, endorsements will be made on the state level).
