Thompson Scores Right to Life Endorsement
Former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson scored a major endorsement from the National Right to Life Committee. Thompson, who came under fire last week for saying he would not necessarily support a constitutional amendment banning abortion, but instead return the abortion issue to pre-Roe status by letting the states decide, was rewarded for his 100% pro-life voting record in the Senate. In addition, Thompson voted to pass the partial birth abortion ban, favors overturning Roe v. Wade, and opposes federal funds for embryonic stem cell research.Posted by D. Price
