Clinton Finds Controversy (Again)
I heard it once said by a comedian that Bill Clinton could stand right in front of you, look you in the eye, and sincerely tell you, "I am not here." The Clintons are no strangers to controversey. Much of the trouble the Clintons get into is related to the fact that not everything they say is, charitably put, enitrely accurate. Take Bill Clinton's most recent comments in Iowa the other day. Clinton told a group of supporters in two different campaign events that he never supported the Iraq war. The comments had people from both sides of the aisle, from Red State to Daily Kos saying, "Come again?" It is well documented (you can read a sampling in the linked USA Today piece) that Clinton publically supported President Bush's war efforts in 2003. In fact, the former President went out of his way to support Bush.So the former President finds controversey again. The question is, will anyone notice, and if they do, will it hurt his wife's campaign?
