Done?
Hey all, I'm done with this blog, at least for awhile. I've gotten sick of it. It used to be I'd get some honest debate going on my sites, but those days are long gone.

I've also been dealing with some personal issues that have been more pressing... I was stabbed two weeks ago in a mugging, and I'm recovering from that. It's led me to reevaluate my life, and at the moment I'd rather study evolution, religion, history, politics, etc. for my own edification rather than to make some pithy comments online.
I've enjoyed the journey, grown a bit and learned a lot myself. My thanks to everyone who participated on any of my sites.

Good luck with your studies (and get well soon too), your posts were always interesting and thought-provoking.
But didn't you know- writing and providing commentary on the internet is what all the evolution and history of mankind has been leading up to! That's why there is a comment system on youtube.

No! No! You can't leave. You just need to spice up your image! Get new colors, flashy new images, advertise advertise advertise!!! Bring in fresh meat for the culling! The reason you don't have as many good debates going on is because you've vanquished all your foes! You need to go on the hunt, prowl around, find new people and entice them into your clutches!

I'm very sorry to hear about your mugging and stabbing. That must have been very unnerving not to mention scary and painful. I hope you recover quickly both physically and mentally.
After you've had some time to recover more, I wonder if you might answer some questions. I'll be curious to find out if your experience has had any influence on your political ideas. Do you now feel a need to pack a gun or are you a confirmed liberal? Would packing a gun be evolutionarily mandated as a survival factor?
Also, do you think that your mugging was due to a survival-of-the-fittest evolutionary throwback or just to human sin? Is there a real thing called "evil" that evolutionary science can't account for?

Study is good. If you want feedback, post your thoughts online for responses. Other people who do careful analysis are always good for testing our ideas. "He who walks with wise men shall be wise..."
You know my recommendations for the study of epistemology--Coady and Shapin. If you know of any articles or books about epistemology or science that have helped you or that you find interesting, please let me know.

It's been too long since I've had some good ol' fashioned racism on here. No, it was two white guys.

I still stand by my personal anti-weapon policy. I couldn't have predicted that they would actually follow through on their threat of violence, so the best I could have done with a gun in this situation was turn a mugging into a double homicide.

Time and again I've said this: evolution doesn't MANDATE anything of us. It simply tells us how we got here, not what we must do once we are here.

I don't know if you remember me at all, but I used to frequent your sites under the name conservativeapologist (don't worry, it was somewhat of a misnomer). You had a great thing going back in the day, in fact, I do see a couple of people from that time period. Best of luck to you and your studies, I hope they aren't as rough on you as mine have been on me as of late. I will sincerely miss your circle.

@GodlessLiberal - Sorry I missed you. BTW, I think that it was tacky that someone would post comments on your blog re: the mugging in order to make a point about evolution. I can't apologize for him, but you seem like the kinda guy that could shrug that off anyway. Get better. When/if you start blogging again, I'm in.
I guess you are done with blogging. However, I just wanted to say a few words, whether you read this or not. You seem like a pretty intelligent guy and I cannot understand why would a smart guy like you believe in Evolution. Darwinism= BS. I'm sorry but the more and more I learn about evolution through my biology courses in my univeristy, the more I hate. The professors just seem like dillusioned maniacs when they 'preach' about how great and marvelous evolution is. Well, hope you realize one day that Darwinism really should not dominate one's belief. Hope you recieve salvation soon.
