BYE BYE DANDELIONS!!

I’ve taken care of the neighbor’s dog “Molly” since Sunday afternoon.  They came to pick her up tonight.  It was his birthday, and they celebrated by going to Peoria, catching a boat that goes up the Illinois river to Starved Rock State Park, spent the night and then came back down the river.  They say the food is out of this world, they have entertainment on the boat, and of course the trees are beautiful up and down the river at this time of year.  I WANTA GO!!

I gave the dandelions a good dose of “medicine” today.  I HATE DANDELIONS!!  Or did I say that in my last post?  I sprayed all morning.  The weather cooperated and there was very little breeze to “carry” the mist to where I might not want it to go. Now, I have to wait 5 days to mow again, to let the spray work it's way down to the roots, and the grass already needs it.  By the time I get to mow, I’ll have to borrow Farmerswife’s husband’s hay rake and bale it.

When I got in from spraying, I went straight to the bathtub, ate some left over pizza, and laid down for a nap.   Did you ever try to take a nap with a darned fly in the house? I think there was only one.  This house is 40’ by 90’ and you’d think he could find somewhere else to crawl around!!  Seemed to like wherever he could find some bare skin to crawl and tickle.  Needless to say, I didn’t get much of a nap, and I was too darned,   tired to get up to find a swatter.

Tomorrow, I’m headed in to the hospital to sit with some friends, while a friend of ours is getting his second new knee in 6 months.  He got along so well with the first one, he told the Doctor, before even coming home from the hospital, that he wanted to schedule the other one.  He’s hurting so badly that he’s barely able to walk so he’s really looking forward to getting it done.

This has to be a boring entry for anyone who doesn’t know us.  Guess I’ll bring it to an end and get to bed.

Take care, y’all

It's fly season down here, too.  But it isn't just one, they are everywhere!  LOL!

That's a big house to take care of!  I have a hard enough time with mine!
