I CAUGHT UP ON LAUNDRY TUESDAY,

Then was trying to decide if I should take time to go to T’town, that afternoon, for errands, when Dale called to say he had some grain checks I needed to put in the bank.  Well, that decided it. I’d been trying to decide if the other errands I had to do were worth making the trip to town.  Sooooooo   I got ready, list in hand, and started down the highway for Dale’s house, then on to T’town…….exceeeeept….when I got to the edge of T’town, I realized I had gone right on by the turn-off for Dale’s house about 7 miles back, and had forgotten to pick up the checks.  I decided it wasn’t worth going back, so I did all the other shopping and errands, went by Dale’s house on the way home, picked up the checks and MAILED them to the bank yesterday.

Yesterday, I started the day by printing out all addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses on my lists, to take with me on the trip, caught up on paying bills, made out a list for the neighbor, to take care of, for me, while I’m gone, and activated the On-Star for my car.  There are lots and lots of “dead spaces” during my trip for my Cingular cell phone, so I also activated the phone system on On-Star.  They assured me that I’m covered ANYWHERE in the U.S.    Hope so.  I know some folks who got robbed down on the Keys in Florida a couple or three years ago, and THEIRS wasn’t covered.  They told them that, that was one of the few places there was no coverage.  Well, maybe they've made some improvements on it since then.

Then, after that, I started cleaning the car, inside and out!!!  Got that all done.  I hadn’t been done long, when I got a phone call from a cousin, who wanted to know if I wanted them to pick me up, and we’d go down the road about 5 miles to eat.  Well, since I hadn’t had anything in my stomach all day except a pot of coffee, it sounded like a pretty good idea to me!!!

Couldn’t wait to get home and hit a hot tub of bath water to soak my sore muscles and bones!!!  Went to bed early, but then woke up at a little after 12:30 A.M. and haven’t been able to sleep since.  Got up about 3:45 A.M.    GRRRRRRRR

This morning I’ve had a cup of coffee, a breakfast roll, searched Mapquest and have my maps printed out.

I bought some new luggage about a year and a half ago.  I had been storing things in it, that I knew I’d use on my trip.    Well, last week, I took out one of the new gowns, to take for last week’s trip.  DON’T EVER STORE YOUR NIGHT GOWN IN NEW LUGGAGE.  TERRIBLE.   Couldn’t stand the smell.  SOOOOO for the last 2 days and nights, I’ve had dryer sheets in the luggage trying to get rid of that terrible new odor.   YUCK!!!  Needless to say, I've taken the other clothes out of it and washed them too.

Need to get the day started.  Talk to ya all later.   Granny

Now that we no longer have a motorhome, we need to buy luggage.  We bought some of those storage bags at Bed Bath& Beyond(I love that place)  We need to compact our stuff.  If we take the pets, there won't be much room for us.  I'm looking for a cat sitter.

Forgot, when you leaving?

You probably could of thrown some dusting powder in the luggage for a day as well. Dryer sheets are great though.

I'd love to have On-Star!  That would be very comforting during a trip.  Could you use Febreeze on the inside of the luggage?

Good golly, Miss Molly; no wonder you've got tired bones!  Just a hint, open your luggage and leave it on the deck in the sun for the day and maybe that will help get the "new" odor out.  Don't work too hard or you won't have any energy left for enjoying your trip.  Are you planning to keep us posted while you're away so we can be "traveling" with you?

Very strange!  I emailed you TWICE, once thru Xanga, and once thru your personal email account when you emailed me (I hit respond, which should have used your personal account).  Since I have your home number, I'll just call you there (if you haven't left already!).
