I'M SICK OF THIS WEATHER!!!

I think I’ll plan another trip!!!  Maybe if I’m THINKING about a trip, I won’t think so much about this cold weather!!  I can’t get my BONES thawed out!!!

But first, tomorrow, I have to burn the trash.  I’m beginning to know how high it can pile in all the trash cans, until the snow and ice melt enough, so that I can get to the burn barrel to burn it.  Seems I may have to do it early, tomorrow, because it sounds as if we’ll be getting more bad weather by tomorrow evening.

Then there’s that darned income tax!!!  I have to have that done and sent in by March the first.  I have it all in the ledger, but now I have to add it up, and put it on the work sheet…then the accountant on Feb. 25th.

One of my first grandchildren, David, got married yesterday evening.  He’s a twin. His beautiful bride is Megan.  She’s a nurse and he works with his dad in that locker/meat packing plant I talk about all the time…….you know…..the one that sells the ox tail?  Anyway, back to the wedding…..it was a beautiful ceremony, with a church filled to, past capacity, and lotsa folks standing in the back.  Then, on to the reception, where the food was delicious, and a great time was had by all.

His twin sister is reba2b,  but let me tell you she sings prettier than Reba!!  And I ain’t sayin’ that just ‘cause I’m her Granny!!!

I spent 5 days in Peoria with the parents of my daughter-in-law, last week, then when I came home Friday, they came too, so they could attend the wedding.  They left this evening, to return home.

Have you been to dianelub’s site. to see the dozen beautiful roses and a new charm with a kitty on it, for her bracelet, that her hubby got her for Valentine’s Day? Oh!  And he brought her a Sonic Sweetheart Blast too.  All she did for him, was make homemade enchiladas for supper.  Can you imagine!!!????  Hmmmmm

Guess that’s all I can think of for this time, and can’t find anybody else on Xanga to pick on, so I’m gonna go see if anybody else has updated.     tee hee…..then I might be back and pick on THEM!!!

Everybody keep warm and try to stay safe.   Granny

P.S.  I just found a love story you GOTTA go read.   Fyresetter02169

Aw, that was a cute story!

Looks like we are going to get some more craptacular weather, too, which will make going to work all the more delightful.

Looks like you've managed to do all sorts of things, despite the weather!

I think we are heading out of town at just the right time, we leave tomorrow morning and head West, and as I understand the word ICE is in tomorrrow nights predictions!!! I just hope our daughter, Tammy will not have any trouble getting back and forth to work, since  she is coming back home to take care of the animals and the house. RYC on my Xanga...there ARE cell phone plans that would allow you to talk to and from Iraq...but Monty (Our son) was in a special assignment for  weeks  (Around the time that Saddam was hung, so I THINK I know what his "special assignment" involved...but he couldnt give me details of course). This special assignment required that he have a cell phone in his possession at all times, and it just happened to be one that had international capabilities ( and a NY Area Code so we could call him too!!) so he was able to call us and his wife and children on his down time. Now we are back to relying on IM and Email but that is still great!!! I am glad that your grandsons wedding was so special, you will have to share some pictures of the happy couple with us. Stay inside and stay warm, you can burn that trash after the snow melts!!! God Bless You

Wondered where you had disappeared to.  Sorry I'm not on much right now so that Diane had to bear all your tormenting alone.  Wil is out in this cold walking and Sydney and Quincy are still asleep so I'm taking a minute to catch up.

Do wish the newly weds all the best as they start on this journey.  It will be 45 years for us this summer.

We are supppose to go "down in the cellar" again today for the rest of the week.  Did get some melting yesterday.  Wil's truck will not start so we are pulling it to town to the garage today which means he will drive the tractor and I'm suppose to steer the truck while he pulls it backwards.  Now the only problem is he hasn't let me know how he proposes to get us back home and Sydney and I aren't riding on the fender of the tractor in this cold.

I came by to check your income tax papers and make sure you didnt forget anything !!-LOL I followed you over from Trudys site I guess. I took my income tax last week and got it done. Brought it home checked it over--found a mistake-took it back and had her redo it. Saved me $200 !

Hope your weather is accomodating some time soon. We are to have a cold front move in by Thur. and Fri morning. In fact Friday they say it will get down to 29 degrees. So Wed. night two hanging plants will have to come in to the garage and all else covered.

I'm glad you "popped" in! It sounds like the wedding went real well! I think we're all tired of this weather, but it does put me in mind of when I was a kid. We always used to have winters like this....back then I liked it! lol

RYC:  Only 2 miles.  The diagosis wasn't good.  New fuel pump which with this truck means pulling out the gas tank etc.

HOLA granny!

I am a bit ready for this weather to change too! Hubby and I are supposed to do taxes this Sat., the federal at least, so I can see how much I get back to pay for my missions trip to El Salvador this coming July.

Congratulations to your grandson on their wedding!!

We are getting a little sleet now and we got 7" of snow but no drifting in our neighborhood, probably because the houses are close together. I remember when I lived in the country it was a real problem for our lane. I would be shoveling forever to get a few feet dug out!

I read that love story and it was so beautiful!! Thanks for mentioning that Granny!! I wish them many more happy years!!
