WHEN YOU PUT THE WORDS  "THE"  AND "IRS" TOGETHER, IT SPELLS   "THEIRS".

I got that as a portion of an e-mail  this morning.  How true!!     I finished adding up the columns, and filling out the work sheets for the accountant to get ready for Income Tax, last Saturday.  It had snowed, and drifted terribly, and there was no way I could even get my car backed out of the garage.....not that I had any desire to get out in that kind of weather!!   After finishing that, I decided I really SHOULD try out that new couch and see if it was "Nap Quality."   It was.....does a REAL GOOD job on a nap.

The snowplow went early in the afternoon, but I still couldn't get to the driveway until Dale came to plow off the ramp, with his truck and plow.   I opened the garage door, and pulled the car in farther, so he could come up, drop the blade inside the garage and drag the snow backwards.

Still didn't get out until Sunday morning, when I went to church.  Went out with the usual bunch to eat, then came home and held down that new couch.  Wouldn't want that nice spot to go to waste, on a sleepy afternoon.

Monday, yesterday, was also a day I made no use of.    SFCM and I went to town for a chore she needed to do, and didn't feel like driving.....after that....nothin'.  There was HEAVY FOG in all this area.  Couldn't even see the mailbox from the kitchen window.   The weatherman said it was because of the warm weather melting all that snow.  This morning, it's foggy, but at least you can see a short way.

Last evening, the weatherman said we'd have flash floods and thunderstorms.  I went to bed in my bedroom, where there's an electric blanket on my bed.  It was thundering and lightning, but not bad.  I'd finally dozed off, and BAM!!!   FLASH!!!  I got outta my bed, from under all those wires, and headed for the guest room, where there was just an ordinary bed and cover.  Maybe I wasn't any safer, but I didn't want to TEMPT the lightning.  Got up this morning, and went in there to check.  The bed was still there.      Boy, did that heavy rain ever take care of most of the snow!!!

O.K.     BOOOOOOOORING!!!  Gonna post this into my diary, and you can read it if you wish.  If you DON'T wish, that's O.K. too.

You are so funny! But I would had thought the same thing! Weather is rough in a lot of places today, so I hope your area is calm and warm. Take care,

Ditto, abuelita, granny in Spanish, you are never boring.  I get a chuckle every time I come to your site!! I have never had an electric blanket but I think I would have moved too!! We had terrible thunder and lightning here and Charlie was wreck, shaking all over and following me like a shadow! Now it is raining likely but we are supposed to get some more rain tonight, not as intense.  No real snow to speak of but it would be nice if we got some on the weekend so Elita and I could at least go sledding once this winter! Glad you got that new couch broken in!

Yes, that town you were talking about sounds interesting.

Haha, not boring, just a lot like the rest of us the last few days!  Crazy weather!  Holding down the couch is always nice.

When I get another couch it is going to be tested in the store so I can know it is comfortable to lay on. The one we have now doesn't look like it but it "slopes" and isn't at all comfortable to nap on. We had one in the city that was like a wonderful bed it was so comfortable.

Lots of tornadoes down to the south of us. Zeb has spent most of the night/day in my garage since it has been thundering. Hope it is done with all that by tomorrow since we won't be here to coddle him.

I'm really upset with Wil so won't go into it but needless to say my take on it is "it is all about him" no matter what. Bah!!!

We have lots of rain so hope it will help our moisture level for spring. We were very low again.

It will take longer to get ready for the surgery and come out of it than to do it. I expect to stop and possibly weigh in if it is at the right time of day, and grocery shop on the way home. Of course that may not happen but we'll see. Do have to stop for some essentials even if Wil has to go in on his own before we come home.

Sure don't have to worry about the snow. Wil told me a little town in Oregon ran out of plowing money. Imagine!

Thanks for the encouragement!  I feel as if God is helping me to realize that I can't keep holding on to the grief and using it for an excuse to not be happy.  Thanks for sharing your recipe, it is about how I remember it!  Maybe I will make some to remember my mom and dad!  Boy, did Dad love that on some biscuits!
