  • Saturday was the day of quotes from Sarah.  On Friday Ashton and Sarah had found a big worm while playing outside.  I guess they started dissecting it.....anyway, Sarah said that they got a part out and Ashton said it was the heart...but Sarah begged to differ....she said "Mommy it wasn't the heart it was the bicep."    I just got a visual of a worm with biceps and started laughing!  Then we had the opportunity to watch sheep being sheered...then the kids were able to "pick" the wool(picking bugs, grass, etc out of it) wash it, comb it, spin it...anyway during the "picking" of the wool Sarah announces REAL loud "This looks like my hair in the morning!"  She got a few laughs around her....I made her say it again so I could get it on video!

Oh!  that is a good one.  Good timing too because just this morning Jude came inside reporting that his pet worm had died in the night.  "I put dirt and water on him...but he still died."  (sniff)  He was encouraged by knowing Ashton and Sarah also were playing with worms.

I can remember playing with worms.  I thought it was really cool that you could cut them in half and make "two worms" because they would still wriggle even when severed.

I take it Sarah has some 'bedhead' on occasion?  Taming one's mane is always a lifelong task.  Her hair always looks beautiful when I see it though :)

Sounds like a fun weekend!  That's neat they got some good "hands-on" learning.

At least it was her own hair that looked like that and not yours!  Funny stuff from Sarah.  Oh and thanks for the picture of the kids on the stairs--I love it!  I have pictures for you.  They are in my large file pile in the office, along with a whole bunch of other things I should be attending to instead of snooping around on xanga.

As long as they don't eat the worms (like their Uncle Ben pretended to do with my kids) I will be ok with them dissecting! Glad you had Sarah perform for the video camera- that is one you will remember for always!

Enjoyed seeing Cindy and Mark this weekend. She got to watch Shea for me while I taught class and he didn't make a peep! Proves she knows how to raise boys!

What fun, what fun!  Next time we need our sheep sheared, we'll know who to call!  :)  Believe it or not, these days the wool basically just pays for the shearing--and we just shear them to make lambing easier and such.

Naturally (tangled) curly hair....we know all about it too. Good thing for detangling spray!! Sarah is such a hoot!
