  • My church is currently a part of a sermon series that over 1,200 churches across the world are also a part of. It's called One Prayer. It's really really awesome that so many churches from so many denominations and so many countries can put aside their differences and join together to become one church as Christ prayed we would be. It's going to be 4 weeks long. Two days ago was the first week of it. Four pastors from four different churches have recorded the messages and they're being shown at all these churches so we're all seeing the same message at the same time. The pastor from my church was preached the first sermon. He called us to be dangerous Christians. He believed that Christ was dangerous. He wasn't safe. And I agree. It's a difficult thing to aspire to... giving up what you love most for the sake of following Christ. Being willing to walk with Him in a way that you open yourself up to spiritual attack and can believe in the miraculous enough that you see it happen. It happens in other countries, why not here in America? Because we've put God in a safe box and decided that the things that Jesus and His disciples did in the Bible aren't supposed to happen anymore. But if God is the same yesterday, today and forever, then why wouldn't He have planned on us continuing His ministry of healing and casting out demons and preaching to masses?
I'm assuming that they'll post the sermons on the website, too, but if not, you can at least see the first one on my church's website. I just think it's really awesome that this is happening and pray that it starts a revival, calling for the unity of Christians so we'll stop fighting each other and start fighting the real enemy and start making a huge impact for Christ.
