Is it Friday?  Holy shit, it IS Friday!

I approached two of my coworkers and asked if I could put them on my resume as references.  They were more than happy to have me put it down.  I will never put my boss as a reference because I hate him, plain and simple.  And while he should be okay with me looking elsewhere for employment, he still won't like it.  I hate job searches.  Everyone wants entry level with 10 years experience in every possible programming language.  Yeah, that's gonna happen.  So I might be stuck in QA for the rest of my freaking life!  Only, I'm not even "qualified" for QA b/c I don't know automation.  Go figure.  I guess a Bachelor's degree in CS and a Master's degree in progress for MIS isn't good enough.  Wait, why am I wasting money on my education??  Honestly, I think it's all a big joke.  As long as I don't have experience, I won't get interviewed.  I'm willing to learn (and I pick up things quickly), but if no one lets me in the door how will I learn???  I should just go to get my license for beauty school.  That's what I REALLY wanted to do all along anyway... but supposedly they didn't make enough money.  Not enough money to support the lifestyle I want.  But at least you can't outsource beauticians, right?  Or bartenders.  Maybe I could do both.  Mike's life dream is to own a bar.  Maybe he can own a bar and I can own a salon... and we'll be filthy rich while all the CS majors lose their jobs to India.

One can only dream.  I think when I'm done with my master's degree, I'll actually start on that beauty school idea.  Or the bartending idea.  For extra income, ya know, on weekends.

Yesterday, one of the units in our condo complex went up for sale.  Lots of people came to look.  It's posted at $30k more than Mike's was posted for.  Only difference: wood floors.  So we figure that wood floors would cost AT MOST $3k, then he's already making a profit from the place!  Saweeeeeet.  I hope we get a nice new (young) neighbor.  We could make it like Melrose Place or something.  Gag.  I can't believe I referenced Melrose Place.

I'm rambling.  It's because it's an ugly day outside, I had a long lunch with the work crew and I'm ready to go home.  Oh, and xanga's been slow lately with minimum posting going on.  Blahhhhhhh!

I need to start on that 10 page paper that's due in 1.5 weeks... but I don't want to (said in whiny voice)!  K, that's all you get... bye bye!
