We had a fire drill today.  The admin. assist. came over and said  something like "we have to leave the building b/c the alarms are going off."  Apparently the alarms only sound on every other floor.  So, half the building must be dispensible, I suppose.  Maybe they don't want to crowd the stairwells, so they figure, "let's just save half of the people to prevent crowding."

I thought to myself, "should I bring my umbrella?  It's supposed to rain today.  Nah, we won't be out there long and it should hold up until then."  And don't you know, after a minute of being out of the building, it started pouring.  Everyone was huddling under the trees, but we were getting wet anyway.  They took their sweet old time waiting to let us back in, while they (the security people) stood inside the building.

Now I'm wet and COLD.  Why didn't I bring in a lunch today?  Now I have to trek out in the rain!!! 

weather.com says we're in for thunderstorms for 10 days.  God, is that you?  Should I build a boat???
