Once again, it's time for you Xangurus to demonstrate your wit and wisdom. Let's see what you can to with the following:
The witch has changed, the lion thought to himself. She's lost weight, she's smiling more and she's wearing pastels.
I also love the new way she wears her soft mane of hair.
"Hey, lady," he rumbled smoothly.
"Yes?"
"I was thinking, you look beautiful these days and we seem to be getting along much better. How would you like to go out for dinner tonight?'
The witch was flabbergasted, but determined not to show it. She tossed a coy smile into a flick of her long, luxurious hair, then knit her brows in pouting thought. She already knew her answer, but best not to let on. "Well, let me look in the wardrobe and see what I have to wear."
The lion waited for a few minutes, surprised at his excitement. Then she appeared

with her sister, Mr. Tumnus and a few flying monkeys. "Let's make this really interesting," she purred with a wicked grin.
OH MY-MY-MY! I'm speechless after reading saintvi's post!
hmmm......ummm... well, let's see now:
"then she appeared...back as the nasty o'witch. Black cauldron in one hand, wood spoon in the other yet sobbing her eyes out "I can't... I just can't do it! you're just too nice a cuddly fur-ball to eat for super!"
CS Lewis is all I've been able to think about all day, lol.
... I really want to make the running clown gag again... I suppose I'll have to settle for just mentioning it.
Well here's my attempt, though not as good in my opinion:

Oh, Scott! What's a post like this w/o your clown?
"I truly WANTED to go with you," she said, but all I could find in the wardrobe was this, and some coats made of animal fur. Somehow, the fur coat did not seem appropriate attire for an evening out with a lion. Besides, your coat is SO beautiful, I feared you would outshine me."
The lion mused to himself, "That has ALWAYS been her biggest concern... what has always come between us. Instead of enjoying each other's company, she always has to turn everything into a competition! Why can't she just be a woman, and let ME be the lion?"
