End of the World
I've always had a fascination with "End of the World" novels and movies.
I haven't seen the National Geographic show: Aftermath: Population Zero, but the website had some cool features.
How about you? Do you have any favorite End of the World movies or novels?
REM "End of the World as We Know It"
And ...if you're not offended by rather vulgar language and you have a high speed connection ... here's a pretty funny End of the World flash.

One thousand years after humans are gone... CGI will look completely unbelievable.

nothing really comes to mind...its always been an interesting concept tho.
The movie, On the Beach, was the first end of the world movie that I saw growing up. And even as a teenager, it really scared and sobered me. Remember that TV series The Day After? Another somber, scary look into the future.
But I take comfort in the fact that there is only one ultimate ending for the world -- when God remakes it and restores it to what he intended.
The only end of the world book I remember reading was Alas Babylon. It was pretty good. For movies, the one where Vincent Price was the last man on earth.
I love that End of the World flash!
I remember the last scene on Planet of the Apes when Taylor and Nova see the Statue of Liberty destroyed and washed up on shore. I thought that was freaky after watching the entire movie.
Hmm. Not entirely sure, lol.
God bless,

Nah, Ima wait for the real thing, and then I'll let you know what I think.
Mmm... Mom says you're grounded.
and... I think the Flash is pretty cool. ^_^
Does The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy count? (the book, not the movie)....
@VaultESL - I forgot about that one. I change my answer.
@VaultESL - WAYYYYY Counts!!! Any book that starts with the end of the world and ends with eating at a restaurant while at the end of the universe counts big time for me.
