Ho - Kay!
Seems I've not been able to make it to Xanga much this week. Here's a quick update. Maybe I'll follow up on some of the stories ... but than again ... maybe NOT, as there is still quite a bit ahead.
I changed the oil and sharpened the blades on the lawnmower. Also gave the lawn it's first good mow. Sprayed dandelions and hoed up some broadleafs.
I bought a few new plants for the butterfly garden. All the ones I put in last fall are green and growing. I'm optimistic for a lovely garden.
There's a stray Tom Cat hanging around in the alley near the butterfly garden. He'll come to me. I did catch him once and put him under a laundry basket until I could call a family that may have lost him. He freaked! I let him loose, but not without some scratches.
By the way ... I'm very allergic to cats, these days.
I interviewed for a new job position, today. Same company and similar pay, but it will be a nice change of pace if I can get it.
Last Sunday, I was asked to fill in for the pastor of Donna's church on July 20th. That was an honor.
Rolling Thunder choir was small this evening - but seemed particularly connected in both the music and devotion. They are scheduled to join us at another nursing home on May 31.
Helping my daughter figure out info for grad schools.
Helped SaintVi and Trebleclef402 with the Great Frog Race and the associated video. Check out SaintVi's site for the show.
Been planning on how to replace a tub/shower when the gals are in England next week. Mercy ... THAT will be a project!
Other than that ... things are pretty much normal.

Ooh! A new shower when we come home??? I hope the acoustics are still good! I love to sing in there!
I had to read the "interviewing for a new job position" twice because I was like "he needs a new job or was looking elsewhere?" I get it now... lol.
God bless,
~Scott
you have been a bizzy boy...keeps you out of trouble I guess
I have my own trouble with cats...I hope you get the job-I'll keep that in prayers.Impressive list of things going on in your life! Are you going to do the fill-in pastor thing? Seems like a big undertaking. And having replaced a tub and re-doing a bathroom (did the tiling myself), you have my deepest sympathy.
You daughter's comment was adorable. If only I could carry a tune in the shower!!
ryc: You are absolutely right!! Forget the dang flowers and come to my house wearing a tool belt. Get that hammer ready b/c I got a lot of repairs on this ol house.
