  • Wild Horses and Heaven's Questions

A horse is a horse, of course, of course
I love Saturdays.  They are wonderful days when there's nothing planned.  ...but of course, that's what makes them wonderful!  The snow is melting away sadly, but two horses and a donkey wondering down the road made for a good distraction.  I tried to get some shots, but got nothing of consequence.  Posted today are two of the shots after some cropping and editing.  My son and horses seem to have been a reoccurring theme this week, even if today's was a surprise photo op right outside my home.  I was reminded of how useful my lost lens can be as I ran out the door with both my fixed lens and my telephoto... I need to look into if it's repairable (which is why I haven't answered you yet, Av8tqr!).  Anywhichaway... What is something from this week that really surprised you or was far from the ordinary?

"Why should I let you into heaven?"
When I was a teen, this question would drive me nuts.  It wasn't that I wondered if I would get into heaven or not.  On the contrary, I was certain of that fact.  What bothered me was how I would answer such a question from the Creator!  I understood the concept of approaching the throne with boldness, but this was a rather life-and-death question.  I heard a comment last night at a men's summit that reminded me of all this though.  It's the answer... or rather then conclusion that I eventually had come to.  It allowed me to settle the matter and never concern myself again with facing this question one day.  I wouldn't have to answer.  Wouldn't have to say a thing.  The question posed would be taken up by another and answered for me.  Jesus Himself would speak on my behalf!  "Don't worry about it, I've got him covered."  Now that's going to be cool.

Surprised...going to the beach to take pictures of the waves, then ended up shooting two youngmen skimming boarding, and their excitement that I was going to photograph them...they were even willing to give a complete stranger their email

I was so surprised to happen upon the place in our yard where I took the photos of those leaves under the ice ~ I've never seen anything like it before ~ still don't understand why the leaves had turned white.

    No surprises lately.

On another note, while I was visiting my son in Hawaii, we went out to eat, I was about to pay the waiter and my son said, "Mamma, put your money away, I got it!" That reminded me of us, our way is paid for by the precious lamb of God, amen?

It was nice being able to catch up with reading your posts. I love the pictures and the one of your son is priceless.  To answer your question about what surprised me this week, was that my husband did not argue with the concept of tithing.  God has really worked in his heart this past year. May you find blessings in the surpises that God has for your week.

I was surprised when one of my friends came over with my favorite dessert after we had talked about it two days prior...and he made it himself.

Wow, all that snow, melting or no, is much more than we ever get here.  It's so beautiful!

Going to the beach and seeing it all clean and tidy...we need more rain. Typically this time of year we've had some storms that really mess up the beach with driftwood and seaweed and stuff. Instead it was pristine.

ryc: the bulk by the pier is a cement ship called the Palo Alto built during WWII. After the war, it was docked here and was used as a casino.
