Springiness, Simon and Jesus, Stylings of the Hair

Highlights
New LookSpring (Cleaning) Fever
It's a beautiful spring day in my neck of the world, and I've noticed a trend in this household: cleaning. I used to chalk the whole spring cleaning concept up to the idea that after months of the home being closed up for winter that by the time spring came, the house just needed to be opened up and cleaned out. But this house isn't dirty. It's been kept clean and, for the most part, fairly well organized. Yet spring cleaning fever has hit. Even I'm eager to sand down and restain some areas of wood, reorganize the closet, and perhaps even redecorate a bit. I would have expected the warm weather to make me neglect the things around the inside of the house needing done, but instead I'm wanting to do them! What is it about this season... Maybe that's why my niece made a sudden change in her hair. Any projects around the house that you'll be doing soon?Simon's Story (Part 2 of 3)
"Go away from me Lord, Lord; I am a sinful man." (Luke 5:8) A skeptical heart has had skepticism ripped from it's fierce grip. What's worse is that Simon was singled out. It wasn't James or John, the sons of thunder, that had been singled out. Nor the other workers. It was him. Simon's brother had told him about this Jesus. He had told Simon that Jesus might well be their salvation. But those are just words. Now he was face to face with someone whom crowds came to, thirsting for His very words. People were being healed, crowds were growing, the wisest words he'd ever heard were being spoken, and now Simon was knee deep in the catch of all times. All because of this Jesus, who Simon couldn't believe was standing right there. His own best efforts had failed him, yet this Jesus brought results with mere words. And it scared him like nothing else ever had. Truth can be terrifying when we've wrapped ourselves in the comfort of our own self-confidence. A light in darkness is painful. But it's nothing to run from.

Oh, Spring cleaning, I despise thee. We are moving in April, doing more spring cleaning than usual.
RYC:
My "spring cleaning" will consist of getting rid of all my school books!! And finishing getting the flower garden ready for well spring of course!
I'm really stinkin' excited to see Cole. I miss hat kid like a fat kid misses cake. Seeing you and Jen is a bonus. ;)
ryc on gz_photoclass blog: LOL...it IS hard to believe we can actually produce a good pic w/o PP. But, to be honest, I did have some fun with these motion photos and played with the background and color...the girls got a kick out of that and Rachel couldn't wait to run right out and get a Photoshop program. She's the really artsy one of the two.
Anyway, I really appreciate the comments you made... It's one thing for the girls to hear George's shape and shadow comments, and my line and symmetry comments...but to hear someone say they see a story in the photo..that's special. Thanks again.
Projects? Everything's a project for me...it's non-stop.
Love the hair...she's adorable.
My wife was gone visiting our daughter in L.A. when I notice ants on my (our) sink. I am not good at detail. I like to watch my wife kill ants. She is passionate about ant killing inside and snail killing outside. To make this short, I decided to move everything off the sink on the right side. I even moved the micro-wave. I was actually amazed (and I am a man) to find food crumbs under everything I move. I got out the spray Comment something and cleaned it completely. Then I cleanded what I put back P.S. I wrote (our) up there. My wife jumps me everytime I say my car, my house, my yard---She always reminds me it is ours. She has done this for 51 years. I am a slow learner.
I think there is more of Peter in me than I want to admit.
