  • Morning Hours, Childlike Anticipation, Photos of Photo Equipment

    Photo Finish Start
I awoke this morning to a beautiful site outside as the sun rose.  I looked out the window, thinking about what would be the best shots for pictures.  There were a number of them to choose from!  But then I laid back down and fell asleep... What dedication, huh?  So no wonderful sunrise pictures from today because this is a lazy photographer in the morning.  So instead I pulled out all my cameras and did a new scene for my equipment photo (for my blog and for my photo site I'm working on).  I'll have those up later.  Two of the photos displayed are of an old Brownie camera my wife got me for our wedding (or was it anniversary... I think it was wedding).  She knows me well!  The first photo is my likeminded son, who decided he needed to do some photo-taking while his daddy was.  What does it take to drag you out of the bed in the morning?

    Look, daddy!
Remember when you were drawing a picture and felt so excited about mom or dad's (or whatever family member's) reaction?   Or when you writing that really good paper about what you did all summer and could nearly see that "A" the teacher would surely give you?  What will the excitement of standing before God be like, waiting for those two amazing words: "Well done."  We have no idea when that time will be, but we know it's coming.  Those that know Him can know those words.  The excitement of anticipation should permeate everything we do in our days as we realize that He is there with us in each moment.  Anticipation was all we knew during those moments as children; we should be more childlike in our anticipation of our Father's attention.

Nothing to take me to drag me out of bed. Usually my mom wakes up, then Madeline and Reese go off for school, Then I wake up. heh.

hahahha! Cole looks like you there. xDD

Cole is growing up so fast...what a cutie.

The smell of brewing coffee will usually get me out of bed...coffee timers are awesome. And if that doesn't work...a good ol' California earthquake will usually do the trick.

I gave you the Brownie for our wedding. Gave it to you on our honeymoon.

Hi,  How beautiful.  I am so happy for you!  ryc: The multiple videos are from POTC2 (dead man's chest).  I had the new trailer for a bite but google took away.  It was shown last night during Dancing with the Stars and Disney allowed it to be seen 1:00 eastern time lat time.  So it is on top of my site--now I can not wait for more trailers and of course the movie.  Yea, silly me.  Sharon in Athens

You're taking some really great pix lately! Re: the question ... the rarity of feeling rested gets me out of bed without dragging. Otherwise, it's the knowledge that I'm probably running late for something (or getting in to work later than I want to). I guess that's the somewhat bad downside to not really having a set schedule/hours to have to be there (@ work, that is).

I so long for that day when we are finally with Him forever.  Getting out of bed?  Seems like there is always a deadline or a task demanding one to be out of bed to get done.

I get out of bed when I know I am down to crunch time before I have to leave... last week I set a new record. 13 minutes from eyes open to driving out the driveway. not a good feeling.

O I shall be thinking of how lucky I am that he doesn't have to move every day from now until he goes back.

It takes an act of God to drag me out of the bed. I loathe mornings.

ryc: I hope I didn't say too much about the movie...I was trying to be careful for those who hadn't seen it yet. I love a good action-adventure, but I REALLY coulda done without the graphic stuff. My main reason for going to the movie was out of curiosity and cuz my son asked if I wanted to go and when a 20-year-old son invites his mom to hang with him and his friends at a movie...well, there's basically only one right answer. YES. Like I said...I just closed my eyes a lot. And I had a great time. Besides, apparently my laughing at the goriest part became quite the topic of conversation the next day at their swim workout... Yup, they think I'm one crazy momma. At least I didn't scream out loud like I did at Red Eye...my daughter's youth group will never forget that one.

So go see '300'...it was cool...but go with a guy for sure...it's not a date movie.

Cole looks VERY grownup in that picture. How old is he?

AWW! That sounds soooooo adorable. He sure loves the spotlight, doesn't he?

(You know how jealous I am of you, right?)

Thanks for the comment!  I'm a fan of the canon.  I just got it and love it.  I love your pictures, by the way.  Just great.  I actually only know mommyfish through xanga.  Thanks for stopping by!

The fact that if I don't get out of bed I'll be late gets me up just fine. I don't loath mornings, I loath being late.

I look forward to meeting Jesus and hearing His well done good and faithful servant. Loved the pics even though you were a lazy sluggard and didn't make it up early ; )

Money is a great motivating factor to get me out of bed.  When I'm not working, I love to get up when the sun is up and look forward to what ever adventure awaits the day. Today, I got out of bed so that I could help plan a trip to Vegas for Mr. T's 50th birthday next month.  I love your blog and the picture of your son is priceless.

Ahhh your "little man" looks to grown up in this picture. Enjoy every moment, for they do grow up too fast.

The opportunity for a great photo has been known to get me out of bed, but not that often
