  • Moment of Thanks & Block Party + Other Stuff

    Encouragement, again
The other day, I shared from 1 Thessalonians 5:11 on encouragement.  As it turns out, there are alot of encouraging commenters out there.  I just wanted to take a moment to share a bit of thanks for such encouraging comments whether I'm posting daily, missing for a time, commenting back regularly, or not commenting at all.  So thank you to those that read, thank you to those that comment, and thank you to those that encourage.

    Block head
It's block party madness here.  This Saturday will be the church's second block party in two weeks.  That may not seem overwhelming normally, but when the church is so new and small, a block party means a week's worth of preparing and advertising for everyone!  Thus the reason for my absence.  Don't feel too neglected though, as my poor camera is really feeling neglected!  The little guy will have a new video posted here soon when I can get a chance to load and edit it though.  But now I must away... when you have enough boys playing on the basketball tournament board, the board can suffer.  So I need to finish fixing it before tomorrow.  What Xanga sites do you keep up with the most?

I have many subscriptions, but I tend to keep up on the ones with fewer words and more pictures because they don't take much time when I have a busy schedule.
A long written post I often have to skip but then forget to go back to it later

    Your posts are just right

Broncomom hit the nail on the head in every way ~ short posts get more of my attention, especially ones with pictures.  I often just skip them if they get too wordy ~ don't have the time.

The funny thing is I have visited only a few sites consistently every day and those are the handful of friends I started out with in the beginning.

I'm with the other short-post readers. I've even unsubscribed to some cuz I just can't get through the books they write everyday...it takes too long to even scroll through them. I like the ones with pictures...even though that sounds so juvenile.  I also avoid sites with too much foo-foo stuff cuz they take too long to load.

Yours is indeed just right. And of course Mary posts great stuff. My other favorite is gledsome, he's just a really nice guy.

I've been documenting a three day trip I took last weekend, but I've broken it down for ease of reading...still they've been long with lots of photos, but you'll just have to get over it.

    Excellent for encouragement. *Thumbs up!*

Honestly, I know how you feel about church events. Sometimes my head spins, thinking about all the preparations for any special occasions.

What Xanga sites do you keep up with the most? Yours, Mr Theologians, and basically everyone on my subscriptions list.

ohh yea sorry haha...the backlight in my laptop busted and went out when I was typing the last part, so I couldnt see anything, and decided not to type too much because I would probably mess up...but the digital photography thing: I recently turned in a photo essay/themed-project on children for a class. I have two teachers in the class, and one of them is really art-intelligent and a stickler. She never really says anything nice about most work...ever...and it really bugs me. but she saw my essay and just started talking to me about it, how it looked professional. and so, I was just finally excited that she started sying positive things about my pictures....but yea, it might not sound great, but if you knew her, its exciting for me.
