    The 2007-2008 JDR Editorial Board

is pleased to announce the student authors

who have been selected for publication in the

Vol. 2008, No. 1 issue of the Journal:

Michael Bekesha, "Rejecting the Intertwining Doctrine: Favoring ADR while Hindering Judicial Efficiency and Economy."

Jaimee Conley, "Suing for Small Potatoes: Consumer Class Action Waivers in Arbitration Agreements Distinguished by the Ninth Circuit."

Amy Moore, "Expanding the Power of U.S. Courts in Private International Arbitration - Moderation Loses to an Extreme."

Tom Risk, "Interest Arbitration Clauses in §8(F) Pre-Hire Agreements: Effective for Achieving Genuine Collective Bargaining or Enabling Parties to Underhandedly Gain Majority Bargaining Power?"

I can't believe I was chosen!  It feels so good to be rewarded for my effort.

Hands down, best law school day since early October 2006.

  • Wow! Congrats! Hey, I know Amy Moore! She worked with me at Best Buy!

Since I know two of the people selected, does that mean I get a trophy or something?

  • well frick. oh well. i guess i only know one unless a 1L could get published. But that doesn't sound like an article she would write i guess...

  • Congrats!  Maybe we should start a facebook group...but we might be the only two members (considering I was thinking of calling it Cool Alumni from Truman State who have gotten published while in lawschool, or some other name that pretty much excludes everyone else).

  • Hey, congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like your title. :)

  • Wow, I just saw the date on this post. Did I really take half a year to congratulate you? I'm a terrible friend. I don't deserve my sexy Legolas bookmark. I'm not giving it back, mind you. I just don't deserve it.
