Summer 2008It has been 2 weeks after the 3-month-placement at St. Barts Hospital. It was a tough period since the learning curve was so steep. In the other words, I did experience depression :'( and a BIG thanks to those who supported and encouraged me through the placement. Surely I will carry on with the dietetic skills that I have acquired for my 3rd placement in Jan 09.I was supposed to get my dissertation started in these 2 weeks time but my mind has been conqured by laziness, which means.... yeah, I havent done ANYTHING. Crap. Instead I spent the whole 2 weeks mainly: 1) To clean the flat (deep clean, seriously, i mean VERY DEEP clean the bathrooms *shinny and spotless*, chucked away awful lots of rubbish after got my room clean and tidy, and vaccuming made my back ached for the whole day). 2) Day visit to Bath with Kimberley. The photos are the best evidence to show I'm extremely '殘' 3) Again, with Kimblerly, we visted the O2 arena (previously named as the Millenium Dome) and the Royal Observatory in (North) Greenwich i.e. we stood on the world-famous Greenwich Meridian Line, which represents the Prime Meridan of the Word - Longitude 0º. Kim, I want the photos! :) 4) Congraduations to Anthony for graduating and thanks for inviting me to your graudation yesterday! Hmmm.... I'm longing to mine which I'm sure I will be so bloody proud of myself on the day when I qualifiy as a state registered dietitian. BUT! seems still a long way to go: dissertation, then placement, follow by exam :( Then... the rest of the time was really to indulge myself with animations, music downloading and the most important, SLEEP. The endless out-of-office work (mainly self-learning and written work for assessment tools/ reflections) during placement meant I was so lack of zzz. There was a Headingtonian gathering and it's fab to catch up with you guys. April you looked fab yesterday in Anthony's graduation and hopefully your feet are alright after the turtore of the killer high heels. As for tan, definately we will meet up in HK! Have fun in Taiwan for the coming weekend! Best wishes and good luck for wtever you guys are doing! I didnt mean to plan a tight schdeule for the coming weeks but it just happens! *sigh* I will be in HK between 14 to 30 Sept (my 'HK buds', here I come! I want BBQ and dim sum, anyone interested? And definately there is no way to avoid events like relatives gathering who love to bombard the poor girl with lots of questionsssss). Within the period, I will be in Beijing for 5 days (since my bro and I are returning in the same time so my family has decided to have a family trip). Then with the help of mum's health-professional-pals, I have liaised 2 dietitians which I am gonna join their DM outpaitent teaching class in one day, and visit the dietetic department the other day (so I can have a decent chat with the local dietitians to learn more about the dietetic service in HK). Meanwhile I must squeeze time to get on with the final year project. Then school starts on 3 Oct and I dun want lectures... Anyway i'm hungry now and I'm gonna make sushi for supper. Ciao! xoxo |
