Guess who came to Louisville, Kentucky by my request???

To say that the Chorale's visit was "good" would be an unimaginable
understatement. When I can describe it succinctly, I will attempt to.
Again, beyond what I could ask or imagine. I'm still recovering.
The concert itself was better than I could have imagined.
Others at my church said the same. "I expected it to be good, but not
this good." For four songs Dr. Plew had the women surround the
congregation and had the men up in the balcony surrounding them from
above. Several music department heads from the Seminary attended, along
with Dr. Hustad, the renowned organist whom Dr. Plew reveres.
After a
yummy dinner afterward (accompanied by much chatting), we headed home.
Both Melissa and Christin stayed in my home and we enjoyed swinging on
the porch swing and having some late night time to catch up. This
morning we were treated to an hour long tour of the seminary (I learned
a lot!), followed by a special time in the large chapel with the school
of music heads, several of whom addressed us. One of them played the
hundred-and-something pipe organ for us, and we all sat in the choir
loft above it so we could feel the rumbling. That was awesome! It is
I believe the largest organ in the state or something.
Then as if it
could get better, Dr. Mohler, the president of the seminary, whose
articles many of us have read, and also whom many of us have heard
speak on the radio or elsewhere, he came and spent an HOUR talking with
us! He was scheduled for a 1/2 hour, and he ended up coming late, and
then staying twice that. After singing a little in the chapel and
meeting these great people, we went to eat lunch and enjoy the
recreational facilities on the campus, which were opened up to us, and
the rest of the campus as well.
I had time to sit and talk with
several old friends. But the ultimate highlight of lunch time was that
I got to take Dr. and Mrs. Plew to come see my house and eat a brief
lunch! I couldn't believe it. It was very short, but a wonderful time
to show them where we are living and catch up with them a bit . Doc gave me a free Majesty CD for my work to bring the
chorale to KY. I hugged my friends, took pictures, and the bus left. I knew I'd see many of them at Christin's wedding in July which made parting not too difficult.
And I cried - out of joy and thanks to God's generous kindness to
me in bringing my dear friends all the way out to my new home in KY.
