A new tradition in our home, I just decided.
On St. Patrick's Day,
we shall make soda bread.
Both girls helped.
I purchased a bag of mix, I'm not that crafty to make it on my own.
I kneaded.
I do think that the dough was meant to be a bit drier.
I lost a lot of mix because I couldn't get it off my hands.
But, I did manage to get it into the pan...
...and baked.
I should have let it bake about 5-10 minutes longer.
You can see how the middle is a bit soft.
I tested it (note missing piece) with a smear of butter melting on top.
Good stuff, not quite done or not.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
May you never know a day without bread.

Add food coloring or something
green dye number 132012 ?
Happy St. Patty's day! I've never had soda bread but it looks good. Our tradition is to put a green ribbon on the dog's red collar so that he doesn't get pinched. Pretty stupid, huh?
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
