Putting aside all apprehension about not currently having any income, I am finding life with my husband home, on a regular basis, to be very nice indeed. A lot more laughing going on. And ya'll know I'm the funniest person on earth, right?
Very busy, still. I have been indulging my list making fetish, as it is the only way I can remember any thing important... and I have an astronomical amount of important things to do and remember before I leave on Thursday. Today's big event was cleaning out the freezer and wiping it down. I probably should have evacuated the neighborhood before I did that, the crud I scraped off the shelves was so nasty. Yeah, I'm proud of my funk, what can I say?
Very happy that I will have the opportunity while I am away to meet in person one of my oldest and dearest xanga friends. She no longer frequents this blogosphere, but we are in touch. I said to her something like, "won't it be fabulous and strange to meet after so long?" It always feels a bit strange to touch a person I've only known electronically. But I have yet to have anything but a good experience, and I am really looking forward to lunch and a walk with a friend who has seen a lot of gore and glory on her journey and has witnessed many years of the same in my life. That is how I think of many of you that have read here a long time. Witnesses to a slice of my story, as I witness yours. I will also get to meet many of Ed's friends from his Prog Rock board. That will be nice too, as I've gotten to know them through Ed talking about them.
And now I shall put away six baskets of laundry (mostly towels) and perhaps get to bathe without an audience. Ed has taken the girls to his parents for dinner tonight. Peaceful blessings. Good night.
You are a busy lady, but how nice you got a break! Are you still striving to do transcribing?! Love you.
Good luck getting it all done, my friend. Don't forget to Breathe.
Have fun in Canada
May your future be so bright you gotta wear shades {v]
Have fun in Canada. I've never been. I'd love a full report.
Six baskets of laundry??? You are goddess. I love laundry and only did three baskets the other day, and mine didn't include kiddy clothes and all the kiddy grime, and I still was almost crying near the end. Rock on.
I so understand the bittersweet situation
If I didn't support us all I would quit today - the stress of it all seems so unnatural and painful when all I want in life is so much simplier
I would love to meet some of my old xangan friends :) from a while back... I forgot how long I had my xanga.
Unemployment CAN be a blessing at times
Sounds like you have a busy trip ahead of you! I can't wait to hear about how you visit goes (and it will be so cool to meet someone in person after knowing them electronically for so long, one of the many awesome things about xanga ).
