  • Eat, Pray, Love, One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India, and Indonesia.

I love this book I am reading, a gift from Jodi.
In my parallel universe, I live the adventures that the author, Elizabeth Gilbert, describes... of course I would leave out the marital strife and ugly divorce, and subsequent failed love affair.  I've got my own closet full of bones, I don't need to take on hers.  But she writes about a year in her life where she spent four months in Italy based in a Roman apartment near the Spanish Steps, four months in India in a ashram, and four months in Indonesia... and I am living this journey through her.

Every single thing she has written thus far is what I would say if I were experienced and talented at the level at which Ms. Gilbert is.  I want to be her friend.  I want to be her student.

Currently, we are in India.  The experiential difference between the two is striking and feels as though she is journeying to her own Holy Grail.  I do hope she finds it in the end, and I think she will.

    I highly recommend this book.
    Good night.
