I had a lot more time on my hands when we stayed with my in-laws. A quiet street in a quiet neighborhood.
There was a peacefulness there that I tried to capture but probably did not.
The mangroves grow all around, the wildlife is abundant. I felt prayerful, simply to stand still and look around me.
The sun rising in the "backyard."

A poisonous banana spider (or so we were told, but Google told me otherwise).
Huge, this spider was. Ed took this photo, I would not have even gotten this close as I am
sure the spider could outrun me.
The web is magnificent, isn't it?

For Betty.

Pretty seaweed.

Me.
No I am not wearing a diaper. That is the demur little skirt on my bathingsuit (read: hides my chubby thighs) flapping in the breeze.

Loveliness. Looks like candy.
Peaceful day, friends.

Peaceful indeed.
Happy Thanksgiving, Jenny.
And that spiderweb is scary! Why are the threads so thick??
Banana spiders have an incredibly painful bite. My stepdad used to haul produce on the west coast and was bitten by one once - the bite zone swelled terribly and he got sick from it. Best to stay away from them and admire from afar
That web is amazing.. .or rather, the picture of the web. wowsers.
happy turkey day!
