  • Five years of war.dove
Five years of soldiers and civilians being blown up.
Five years of those that aren't blown up being forced to repeated tours of duty.
Five years of their families sacrificing everything so the soldier can go back again.
Five years of veterans fighting for benefits, federal lies, and propaganda.
    Five years of Constitutional disintegration.
    Five.
    May the world forgive us.

I''ve just completed my pilates. Breathing in and out...reading this like a prayer.

And may our children forgive us.

  • jackie004

    Amen.

I felt like I have been pleading with the President and God.

King George is sitting in his castle and has NO IDEA what is actually going on over there. Too, 71% of Americans believe the economy is in the toilet because we're spending in excess of $50BILLION on the war. Someone has his values completely backwards.

    I'm furious

why are the islamic extremists not the ones asking for forgiveness?
when ronald reagan came around and fought against communists would you have said may the world forgive us?
would you have asked the world forgive us for fighting in the world war two?
would you ask that the atomic bombs were a mistake?
you have to take things into context.
we have not had a major war on our soils because of people like our soldiers who are VOLUNTEERING to serve the nation.
sure you can say that their lives are lost in vain.
do you believe that the soldier would think that his life was lost in vain?
by you stating that his life was in vain, it is you who are making his life a lost cause.
he lived fought and died for what he believed in.
he believed that he was fighting for you and me.
he fought so that we can live another day.
giving thanks to the God of our choice.
    to write such blogs.
do you think people in islamic countries i.e. iran, saudi arabia,..etc. can say such things?
do you think people in venezuela can dissent against our president and not face punishment?
i beg to differ. this country is the best and the most blessed because it is the land of free.
the freedom that men and women have fought to preserve.
let us give thanks for the men who are giving their lives for us and remember those who have died for us. GOD BLESS AMERICA. GOD BLESS YOU.

    @supsoo -

I did not say their lives are in vain.  I say that our president spent/spends their lives vainly.
I choose to remember those that died by speaking out against the war they fight for a man who would never fight himself... instead of sending more men to die.
But God Bless America, to be sure.

Five is the number of the GodDess.
    She is listening.
    She is watching.

And She is with us, them ... and those who hold us in terror, Here AND There.

    Namaste, my sister.
    And Amen.

5 years.  Enough already. This 'war' is about oil and nothing else.

When asked yesterday if he listened to the fact that the country did not want this war, VP Cheney replied with "So?".  Said he doesn't care what "popularity" polls think.  The interviewer almost fell off her chair at the answer.

May he burn in hell if there is such a place.

Yes, this is sad.  BUT, can you not think of any of the good that has come from this war?  That Hussein is no longer in power and has paid for his crimes?  I have family and friends that have been/are over there, and we are doing a GOOD thing there.  The people there for the most part are glad we are there.  Would you rather we had done nothing at all?  Where would the world be if we had stayed home?
