I planted Pansies,
in sunny bright yellows and velvety purples.
It is a risk, planting so early. I should really wait until after Mother's Day, as is the regional rule.
But I have faith that the earth and air are ready and waiting.
I surely am.
So I went ahead and planted lettuce and tomatoes in the jacuzzi too...
It is so good to be back in my church.
The soil under my feet and nails.
A serenity, much needed around here right now.
When I dig in the dirt, nothing hurts... nothing hinders... nothing worries.
Not even the hot sun prickling the skin on my winter-white arms.
Good night.

As always, your pictures are beautiful. I can't wait to plant my little garden. Last year, I planted too much too close together. This year, I'm thinking of just grape tomatoes, one larger tomato bush, yellow squash, cucumber, and maybe one other thing. I do always plant basil in its own pot. happy spring!
i love your jacuzzi church!
As much as I love seeing all of the wonderful things that are already blooming in your yard, I hate it because it seems that it isn't ever going to happen here, and I am sooooo jealous!
Oh yeah... tell ToReadYou that I know who she is, and I'm really hurt that she never stops by to say hi to me anymore.
I guess I'm black smelly chopped liver.
The pansies and the lettuce should be fine tomatoes might need a little more heat and protection and as it snowed today in MN you might want to dig out a sheet or 2
I wish I felt that way about gardening. I just could never find pleasure in it... I tried, but... it's not in me. I guess creativity in things like scrapbooking gives that kind of release for me.
Anyway, I always enjoy your beautiful flowers and yummy looking veggies.
We were in the same church today!
i wish i llived in the northern hemisphere! it is cooling right down here and i think it will be the coldest that we have had for a few years.
I want to plant too... but I am not sure here in WI that we are done with COLD
It's still very odd to see the dirt in the hot tub
I decided I can't plant anything. The wind is just too strong up here on the 12th floor. The plan was to at least plant some chilies, but they would blow away. I'll just buy them at the market. I REALLY want tomatoes. Someday.
So beautiful!
Pretty! I want to plant stuff, too!!
Beautiful..
I really like the purples, VERY pretty.
Don't you ever want to use the jacuzzi for it's intended purpose? haha
@brittannichols03ffad - The jacuzzi was broken, unfixable, unmoveable, and empty for years before I turned it into a garden. It is mounted on my deck.
I need new grass in my garden, its all trampled
