Ed began painting our bedroom and bathroom. The girls were allowed to paint on the walls, since he will be covering that space with red paint. Each had her own wall (with the bed between them, to discourage bickering, paint fighting, and general naughtiness). My oldest...
I have no idea what those symbols are that she drew. On the bottom, left it says, "your a charm!!" and she drew a diamond. Funny.
And the youngest...
I love the way she draws faces, the mouth is always off center and in motion. And yes, person on the left has butterflies for eyes.
I hope you have had a peaceful weekend. Good night.
Those pictures are precious. I love the butterflies for eyes. They are both so creative.
What an opportunity. Nobody ever let me paint on the walls. Of course, I did it a few times, but there were consequences.
Butterfly eyes... sweet.
So precious.
evey one needs a red room in the first picK is the eight pointed star the eight directions some say Venus i drew it as a child & have it tatooed on me 3 times for some reason have a great week blessings beck
I guess its been too long since I've seen kids drawings. I thought the face was your jacuzzi garden!
I love both girls' artwork, but Julia's ... It really shows how far she has come since we first met. Wow. And, oh! The butterfly eyes and the live-action mouth ... Awesome.
How special! I'm glad you took pics.
@soNOTcool - Yes, I agree re Julia. A has always been crafty and artistic so her work is wonderful (to us) but not unexpected. In the past several months, especially, J has just exploded with creative thinking... or rather, expression. Ed first noticed her mouth drawings. She kicks some butt with the sidewalk chalk.
@spinksy - Well, it will be covered in paint soon and I want to remember. I think I'm going to let them "paint" a wall in each of their rooms. I just thought that while I read your comment.
J.'s people are so cute. I love the mouth! And A.'s "your a charm" is hilarious.
By the way, I hope everything goes well with the new business plans, I think I need to re-read them before I can construct a comment.
That asterisk-looking thing is what Kurt Vonnegut drew as, uh, well, a sphincter. I doubt that's what Julia had in mind, though.
You are such a cool mom.
I love their art! Isn't it interesting to see things like symbols and phrases come out of them through their art?
I can't wait to see the red room. My guest bath is black with a tin ceiling. I love bold statements with color. I want to replace the tile in the stall shower and get my bling on a new pedestal sink (the current one is nice enough for now though).
What talent!!! ha ha... you really need to get them into art school or something.
they will remember that forever even if you decide to paint over it... Im glad you got pics.. Maybe have them framed and hang them on your bedroom walls (each pic on each childs wall).. that would be cool...
