Everything but the tomatoes. My garden as of two days ago...
Lettuce!
Peas (thanks, Jodi for the ID) There's one sunflower plant hidden in there, I thought I got them all but I missed that one. I moved the sunflowers (that were randomly planted wherever there was soil by my youngest) to here..
on the side of my house, by the clothesline.
I have one established strawberry plant that, after a couple of years in the ground, is finally spreading. I added a second plant this year, on the other end of the bed. I'd like to someday see strawberries filling all the space in this bed not taken up by herbs (sage, rosemary, and thyme).
I'm trying an eggplant. Just one, since no one eats it but my in laws and I. We are going to a political fundraiser this evening. One of our moves in the game. My sister has the girls for the night. Hope you have a peaceful weekend. Good night.
Your photos always make me excited about starting my own little garden!
SPROUTS! Oh, and it's too early for tomatoes
Molly Katzenberg has a FABULOUS Eggplant Almond Enchiladas recipe in her Moosewood Kitchen cookbook. People don't know it's eggplant and most are often convinced it is meat.
Ooooh, i love peas! My 2 strawberries that i planted last year have come back. Last year, critters ate them. Oh well, at least someone enjoyed them!
I love eggplants. I only once grew them myself, many, many moons ago.
Hope the fundraiser was not too 'painful' and actually yielded something good for your future. (I too am learning that sometimes it is best to play the game, keeping one's eyes on the long-term goal.)
