Another Update

Dad is doing pretty good...today was the first day the doctors were actually positive about everything. They have taken him off of morphine during the day and that means that he is more with it and can talk though he is in a lot of pain. Rhonda, Robin, Deborah, David, Marat and Josiah all arrived today....Rhonda, being a nurse, went directly to the hospital to join Mom in taking care of Dad....she helped tremendously. The rest of us spent most of the day getting situated here...it was so good to catch up, haven't seen any of them in almost 2 years. David went to the hospital later in the day and spent the evening there. It's an emotional time...David came back and told us how Dad was talking to him, and how he told him that he was so proud of his family and that having us really gives him something to fight for he said we'd "work through this". David couldn't report any of this to us without tearing up..in fact we all spent a few minutes crying together...through it all, the Lord is uniting us, and there is so much peace...Mom sets the tone...it goes without saying that this is very hard for her...but there is a balance, we can talk and enjoy the fellowship we have and take comfort in the fact that we are together and that we serve the living God! who knows all things and loves us beyond our comprehension
