Abraham Lee 1yr Photo Shoot
I recently purchased some studio equipment as I've been getting more requests for studio type portraits. I was excited to try out the new equipment for a recent photo shoot for David and Susan Lee. Their son Abraham is turning one and they wanted some portraits before their son's birthday.
So I took my new equipment to their home and set up shop in their dining room. I'm always excited and nervous when shooting children because you never quite know what you're going to get. They can be such darlings... cute, spontaneous and fun without any reservations. Or they can be difficult, fussy and just plain uncooperative. Who can blame them. Imagine a strange man coming into your home and carrying a large mysterious contraption as he follows you everywhere with it and poses you in every which way as he tries to make you sit still and smile! Ah but I was fortunate because Abraham was in a great mood and we had fun!

After spending most of the time shooting Abraham, we started taking some family shots with David, Susan and Abraham's older sister Anna. She had just woken up from her nap when we started shooting so it took her a while to warm up, but when she was ready to go I couldn't stop her from trying to get into every frame. She just kept running into and out of the dinning room and in front of and behind her parents! She was having so much fun! It was a shame that when Anna was on Abraham was getting tired and ready to stop. It would have been so wonderful to see them feed off of each other's energy and capture some memorable images! Ah but I digress... it's not about me and what I want but it's about the kids and their parents!

So thank you David, Susan, Anna and Abraham for letting me into your home and spending the afternoon taking photos! I'm looking forward to your birthday Abraham and I pray for many great years ahead!
