Our itinerary to Europe is slowly falling into place. We don't have all the dates worked out quite yet (looking for cheap flights) and don't know exactly which cities we'll be in which days, but we've painted the broad strokes. We originally had more destinations planned, but decided with all the travel between them it'd be better to spend more time in fewer places. So here's what we've worked out so far.
(Sightseeing days in bold, travel days normal)May 14th/15th - San Francisco to London
May 16th - LondonMay 17th - London to Dublin
May 18-20 - IrelandMay 21st - Dublin to Prague
May 22-24 - Prague (Celebrate mine & Blake's birthday Czech-style!)May 25-29 - Prague to Budapest to Vienna & points in between (with Ben & Patton)May 30 - Vienna to Venice (From V to shining V?)
May 31-June 5(ish) - ItalyJune 6(ish) - Rome to Glasgow
June 7-8 - ScotlandJune 9 - Drive to London
June 10 - LondonJune 11 - London to San Francisco
Still have to book one more flight, rent a few cars, look into trains, and find some lodging. But it's shaping up!
Any suggestions on specific locations to see in Ireland, Scotland, Italy, etc? Where would
you like to go?
(Pic is of Cinque Terre in northwest Italy on the Riviera. Hopefully we can make it there!)

What a great birthday you'll have! Okay, so where is this pic from?
Loch Ness is amazing (been there numerous times) and Stonehenge is also cool (though it's in England, not Scotland). I would also check out Edinburgh Castle...there are lots of other cool things to see in Edinburgh too
And while in London, if you're any sort of a nerd, then you MUST check out the British Museum of History...it's free....and amazing!
while ur in austria u must visit salzburg! one of my fav places ever!
I have a suggestion for when you're in Italy. Leave and go to Greece.
Kent, I was not sure how to get you the information so I posted Ireland, Scotland and Germany information on my Xanga site.
I am so jealous!
Hey, I was just on Vinnie Mosquera's facebook and noticed he had pics of Cinque Terre listed on there. Might want to check it out...
bah, sounds amazing! have fun!
So greece didn't make the cut. I have to say though that it is one of the most expensive countries to get to, and the true charm of greece is within everyday life, not the touristy bits, so in the end not the best destination on a whirlwind tour of europe. Good call.
i think your itinerary looks good. i'm really glad you're staying awhile in Italy.. it's one of those countries that you can really never get enough of. i think it's smart, too, that y'all decided to see fewer places and spend more time there. the traveling can get wearisome, and sometimes you feel like you don't have enough time to take everything around you in. i know you're not in London for long, but try to go to Windsor Castle if you can. it was one of my favorite places there.. and there's this really good pub across the street called "The Horse and Groom." (or something like that...) We got fish and chips there.. and i had the best dessert I've ever put in my mouth! I forget the name of it.. but it's some kind of caramel dessert they suggested. I would go to London again JUST to taste it again.. haha.
