Sometime later this year, my third novel "By Right of Blood" is going to be published by LBF Books. I don't have a release date yet, but hopefully, it will be available before the year is out.
I'm hoping I don't interfere too badly with Harry Potter. (Am I shamelessly hopeful, or incredibly delusional? Why, yes. Yes, I am.)
So, to my fellow Xangans, and the handful of devoted fans, I'd like to unveil the (proposed) cover art, and back blurb.
Sean Wilbrun, the son of a common groomsman, has recently been elevated to the esteemed ranks of high guard for Lord Edward of Stonehaven. His first assignment is to attend to the duke's newly arrived foster son, William.
William Fylbrigge, the orphaned son of the Earl of Aberdoir, arrives at Drumoak believing in tales that Lord Edward is a torturous demon who eats children, and drinks their blood.
Sean and William, soon form an unlikely duo and a lasting bond that brings them together through accusations of murder and kidnapping.
One will be destined to lead his people in an unpopular cause. The other will be destined to protect his friend against a mutual enemy. One will find his love. One will lose it. Both will come to know that nobility can not be bought with coin, that bravery is not bestowed upon the rich. They'll both come to find that the claim to the future is only By Right of Blood.

Sunday Edit: I'm going to try something new when I post something I want a lot of people to see. Since it's the weekend, I know the viewing will be low, but I want my book announcement to stay up there. So I am going to just add on today, and hope folks scroll down to read.
The ominous feeling that persisted all during Friday did seem to come to a head on Saturday morning -- literally. I woke up with a screaming headache, the likes of which I've never experienced in my life. I couldn't get out of bed, couldn't see, couldn't hear, couldn't even open my eyes. I thought I was having a cerebral hemorrhage or something, and was expecting to see the white light at any minute. It lasted a good part of the day, though by noon time a giant Ibuprofen, and a cup of super strong coffee had helped to abate the symptoms. By about 3:00, it was gone.
Now, I've had migraines before. So I know what those are, and they are not any fun at all, but this was way beyond any migraine I've ever had. Today I feel just fine, like it never happened. Let's hope that's the last time that happens.
But then again, it was during the worst of it that I came up with the concept I wanted for my book cover. RedHairedCelt helped me with the blurb. I find that to be the singularly most difficult part of writing a book, so any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Today, I get to do laundry and clean up the house a little. Mavis is stopping by later today, so that means I really should sandblast the bathroom, living room and . . . well everything else. Maybe there will be a good story out of it.
Cheers

VERY VERY cool! I need to get back to working on my manuscript... It's only been several years in the works. Glad that your headache is gone. I never got migraines until about 4 years ago. I hope to never get anything that is worse then a migraine. Have a great Sunday sweetie!
Hugs'n'Smooches!
So sorry about your massive migraine! I'm surprised you don't have a headache hangover toay. I always did when I had migraines.
The cover art is delicious! Especially the blonde! Is he modeled after Viggo Mortensen? He looks a bit like him, which is always okay in my book!
Wow!! Thanks for the look. It makes them even more real to me ... they have faces that aren't just in my head...lol.
I am so pulling for ya beautiful lady. Heck, I get all giggly just thinking about the pages behind that cover. I agree with the lovely Red...."fanfarkintastic"!!!
Glad that head thing is done with. Maybe it was a huge ball of creative juices waiting to explode!
love and care,
