  • Plumbing leak is fixed.  We may need to rip out the carpet and carpet pad down in the room because it was *soaked*.  My choice of flooring down there would be linoleum - cheap and easy to clean.  Dh thinks it'll all dry out, but I'm afraid of mold.

Working on the baby announcement to send out via snail mail.  It's hard getting good photos of these kids.

Trying to catch up on laundry from my family coming up here.  And dishes, which are now pretty much under control.

Need to finish lanolizing ds1's wool.  Dries really quickly when I throw it out on the clothesline in weather like this.  Need to get diapers out on the line today, too.

Ds1 is...  well, it's not fun.  Try reasoning with this 2.5yo and you'll be ready to jump out the nearest window in a matter of minutes.  Doesn't help that when my family was up here they took ds in his little red wagon to the park once or twice a day.  I don't have the energy to run after ds1 across the 3-4 acre park with ds2 in the sling in 90 degree weather (especially if I haven't gotten a shower yet).  So anyway, now the kid expects to go to the park in the wagon, and will sit in it for up to an hour.  Whining and crying and such.  He's gonna grow out of this sometime, right?  Right?

Aww, the poor guy!  Yes, he'll grow out of it.  I don't suppose the yard with a bucket of water would suffice?

hmm or maybe "park day" once aweek... or a month? or maybe just hide the wagon in the garage so he can't se eit (after he's alseep)?

and yes he will outgrow it. I promise! =)

Heh, well, the pipe that burst was the one that goes to the backyard spigot.  I'm a little gun-shy to try messing with it yet.  I may just suck it up tomorrow and throw him out there in his swimsuit (if it still fits!) with the sprinkler.  I just don't like the pressure of having to hose him down and soap him up after a bout of playing outside - especially with the baby who doesn't like to be put down.  When he's just going to head back outside afterwards.  A vicious cycle I tell you.

Oh, and the red wagon's already been put in the garage.  Right where the (white) car door will bang into it.
