Friday's harvest.
Cheesecloth and twist ties. I'm a very tame kitchen
MacGyver.
To be canned tonight. Mostly seedless blackberry jam/preserves (for my Blackberry Basalmic Chicken and such), and seeded stuff for dh and the kids to eat as regular jam.
What I was doing into the wee hours of last night. 7 pints of pickles (forgot to put in garlic in 4 of them, oops) and 2 quarts of apple pie filling to try out. I have pie crust thawing in the fridge to try one of them shortly.
Before I started canning, kinda mid-mess in the poor kitchen while prepping things.
Leftover apples. Will get thrown in to applesauce or more pie filling at some point in the next few days.
He likes blackberries.
A lot. I gave him blackberries and an apple to keep him busy/quiet/fed while I was washing and pureeing blackberries.
