Well, Ed Bryant lost the primary.   Carmen has a good post on the subject if any of you are interested.

Some interesting things that happened while we were campaigning....

1) A lady stopped and told us that she voted for Ed just because there was a cute, 4 year old boy standing next to us while we were campaigning. I guess if we had put  4 year old, blond haired boys next to Ed signs at all of the TN precincts then Ed would have had an a landslide victory

2) A voter reported to a local liberal talk show on the radio that they were being harassed by the campaigners at the precinct where the rest of my family was campaigning. Trust me, there was no harassing going on at least from my family. Must have been a Harold Ford supporter that called in.....

3) It was VERY hot

4) Ticks were EVERYWHERE

5) We got some unexpected help during the rush hour at the polls. Two homeshcooled, teenage boys showed up to help. It turned out that one of them loved to debate politics and theology  ; needless today we were never bored   He is a Reformed Presbyterian and, I am a Southern Baptist so you can probably guess what we discussed most of the time...........

Haha Yeah, we had fun

Have a nice day

Yessss, meeting internet friends is lovely.

A hiatus is basically....a pause, break, or rest.  :)

Yuuuck @ the ticks.

Rofl re: the little boy.  Yay for cute little boys.  Even more yays when they win good votes.

*laughing* @ Matt A's comment.  I agree.  *grin*

Hey, Lee... that's too bad, but at least you did your best. Our club will be campaigning for a local county representative this year.

Let me guess.... Predestination and infant baptism vs. believer's baptism?

Oh yeah, and us Presbyterians (I'm a presbyterian) don't mind having an alcoholic drink, so maybe that came up as well. Ah, fun times with homeschoolers. ;)
