Sell one form of slavery for another
Celebrate your freedom while others
Drown in the wake of your lifestyle
It will only be but a while
Till they begin to make a stand
But someone's there to reprimand
To enslave, repress and deprive
In their battle to stay alive
They look up from the South
To discover nothing but words from the mouth
Of a being who remains indifferent
To the sufferage of those in the distant
They watch as we celebrate individuality
Millions of look-a-likes settled in creativity
Stand out in a crowd of the poor and oppressed
It is this occasion that we've put on our best dress
We are the reason for this season
Of dominion and empire through militant legions
So rollback the distaste
Put on a smiley face
This is a great time we live in
Not to participate would be treason
Contribute to the embetterment of society
Forget the cost of propriety
This is the new morning
Forget the voice of those in mourning
This will be our life
Forever distant from their strife
