What do you get the Pentagon when they already have all the supplies they could ever need? How about NEWER supplies!!!

The Washington Post has reported that the Government Accountability Office discovered the Pentagon to have wasted $400,000,000 on restocking common goods such as uniforms and medical supplies when perfectly good items were already in stock. Further, another $3,500,000,000 was labeled excess and good-as-new items were "transferred and donated outside of DOD, sold for pennies on the dollar, or destroyed."

It's gross negligence and incompetence like this that truly angers me. When our schools are collapsing, health care prices are staggering, and the troops are left without armor - we apparently have another $4 billion to spare just from the Pentagon. Remember the new budget and how the Pentagon was to receive another $17 billion? Then there's the defective missile defense system that costs $10 billion a year. Not to mention the US mismanagement of $9 billion in Iraqi funds. Who could forget the issues with Halliburton and a possible $108 million in defraud to the US military?

All in all, our conservative fiscal policies have netted us a loss of $23,108,000,000 that will no doubt be fully repaid by the perpetrators to the US tax-payers. And just think, that's only our military systems in the past 4 years!

If we were actually competent and able to reclaim all of the defrauded monies in the corporate sector, why, we'd never need to pay taxes again! Or we'd be able to repay the US federal deficit and fund social security. Hey... I think that I might have just solved the economic woes of the US!!!!
