Kween of the Queens Challenge
Kween_of_the_Queens challenge for the first half of April is the Question...
What is the most romantic gift you have ever received?
With nods to all the wonderful things my Hubby has ever done or bought for me, I would have to say, a kitten.
This kitten was the runt of the litter. They didn't think he would live. My first boyfriend had picked this cat for himself. He thought that he could give this cat love and make it thrive. We were in 5th grade. We had broke up a few weeks earlier so I didn't know that he had picked this kitten for himself. Our families were friends and well, I wanted a kitten and they had a litter to pick from. I chose the little runt. This friend still loved me...he had a kind and giving heart...he gave up his choice for me, even though his mom told him he didn't have to. I didn't know about this until later. His sacrifice for me touched my 11 year old hopefully romantic heart.
We are still friends.

my most romantic gift was a star my new hubby bought me from "Star Registry." Since then, I bought him one and both stars live in the heavens next to each other, near the Orion Constallation. Yep, that's pretty darn romantic.
thanks so much; great question!

Dear Molly, er, I mean Lmoisan,
The best stories I'm reading so far are like this one, from the deep past. Isn't it interesting that sometimes the most romantic gifts are the ones we got from our first loves and friendships. Not only did the boy's sacrifice mean a lot back then, but still today as you remember.
